Our Leadership Team
Eric and Mary Durham
Eric and Mary, like all of us, are on our own healing journey and hope to journey in community with others with the Grove. In 2022, Mary developed a chronic illness that changed every part of her and her family’s life, causing her to leave her job of small business tax and accounting. Together, Eric and Mary confronted mortality and continue to explore what healing and wholeness means personally and communally. Eric has also been on a personal healing journey with his dad’s sudden death in 2021, entering a role of caregiver, and mental health challenges along the way. Throughout our journey, we have met incredible healers in both likely and unlikely places and are committed to helping others find healing and step into their own role as healer in their community. We all have a part to play. When we’re not soaking up time with our glorious preschooler and goofball dog, Eric enjoys gardening and fishing and Mary enjoys learning ballet, knitting and volunteering for hospice.
Rachel Zylstra
Rachel is a lifelong learner, adventurer, friend, partner, mother, teacher, and 7 on the Enneagram. She is passionate about exploring wonder, healing, and finding the childlikeness in all of us. Her mantra is Hold Hope Every Day. Rachel joined The Grove board of directors in 2025 and helps guide how The Grove can serve children and young families in need.
Doug Walker
Doug’s own journey of healing and commitment to assisting others through somatic coaching led him to join The Grove leadership team. Doug is passionate about not only helping others individually but also engaging the community as we journey towards collective healing and wholeness. Doug joined The Grove leadership team to focus on community engagement. Doug loves spending time with his partner, Erin, son, Ray, and community of playful contemplatives. You’ll often find him on the trails in Boulder, playing guitar, or connecting with friends.
Will Forsythe
Will was born and raised in the foothills of Colorado, and currently serves as pastor of an inclusive community in Boulder, CO called All Souls. Will is deeply passionate about the interior journey we can take, in which we descend into the immense palace of our souls to experience the mystery within. Even as a pastor and director he often finds himself in the room next door to faith, always more interested in questions and mystery than claims of certainty. Will can be found fly-fishing, reading Wendell Berry and Mary Oliver, taking care of his chickens, goats and sweet pigs, all while drinking a cup of Ethiopian coffee. Will joined the board of directors in 2025.
